Day 2              Muscat (car/coach)

Breakfast at hotel

Full day Muscat sightseeing. Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Mutra fish market, Bayt al Zubair Museum, al Alam Palace close to Jalali and Mirani old forts (visit inside not allowed), District of Embassies, old Mutra Harbor and Mutra Suq.

Lunch in a typical restaurant.

Dinner and overnight at Intercontinental Hotel or similar 5*

Day 3              Muscat  to  Ras El Had (4x4)

Breakfast at hotel

Departure to Ras El Had, via Qurayyat, Fins Beach (possibility of swimming), via Wadi Shab, Tiwi, Qalaat. In Sur visit the dhow yard and the renewed fishermen quarter.

Picnic lunch on the way.

Dinner in hotel and afterwards excursion to Ras El Jinz to the Turtle Reserve where turtles put down their eggs during the night.

Late overnight in hotel.

Note:   From Ras El Had to Ras El Jinz 40 minutes drive.

            From Sur to Ras El Jinz  1,20 h drive.

Choose of hotel in Ras El Had: Ras El Had Beach Hotel, 3* or Turtle Beach Resort.

Day 4              Ras El Had  to   Ras Ruwais (4x4)

Breakfast at hotel.

Departure following the cost line direction South by asphalt road till Al Khuwaima. Proceed on the beach (possibility of swimming) or on the track over the dunes (depending on high/low tide) till Abu Al Akarish. Continue crossing the dunes of Wahiba  where they meet the sea close to Ras Ruwais.

We set dinner and camp for the night on the dunes by the sea.

Note:      There is no fixed camp in Ras Ruwais. Our equipment for the camp: igloo tents, mattresses, sleeping bags, table, chairs, and all needed for dinner and breakfast.

Day 5                   Ras Ruwais  to Wahiba Sands  (4x4)

After breakfast enjoy the dunes and the sea (possibility of swimming) and proceed direction South-North crossing the Wahiba Sands, enjoy the thrill of dune bashing, meet Bedouin people.

Overnight and dinner in  fixed camp Thousand Nights in Wahiba Sands (allocated bath rooms).

Day 6                   Wahiba Sands to Nizwa  (4x4)

Breakfast in the fixed camp.

Leave the dunes and reach the asphalt road via Ibra, visit Bahla and Jabreen Fort, visit the villages of Misfah Al Ibreen (one of the last remaining old villages), El Hamra old houses and reach Nizwa

Lunch in a local restaurant.

Dinner and Overnight in Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel 4*

Day 7                   Nizwa to Muscat  (4x4)

Breakfast at hotel.

In the morning visit of Nizwa fort and suq. Proceed to the Hajar Mountains and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the old villages, via Balad Sayt, continue in Wadi Bani Awf and arrive in Muscat via Nakl.

Day 8                   Departure (car/coach)

Breakfast at hotel

Full day and meals at leisure
